Ragtime Women for Flute and Piano Book 1

Description

10 Thrilling Rags, Two-Steps, and Cakewalks by Pioneering Women Composers arranged for Flute and Piano

Ragtime Women for Flute and Piano (Book 1) comprises 10 exciting arrangements by the brilliant, pioneering, but almost forgotten women of the ragtime era. Arranged specifically for advancing flute players of around Grade 4/5+ standard, a full piano accompaniment part is included in the book.

Designed with the Performer in mind:

• Accessible Arrangements: Flute parts are 1 or 2 pages in length and set in musician-friendly keys.
• Range Specifications: Notes extend up to high G in the leger lines, an ideal choice for developing intermediate players.
• Historical Context: Features brief, engaging biographies of the composers, alongside an information page clarifying tempo and expression markings used in the book.
• Performance Flexibility: The flute part is authorised for reproduction for performance purposes, or alternatively, a separate printed flute part may be purchased.
• Audio Downloads: If you want to hear how a piece sounds before you play it or if you wish to play with a piano accompaniment, both a soundtrack and piano accompaniment is available to download for every piece.
